--- [Minneapolis, MN] April 15, 2025 — QUEERSPACE collective is thrilled to host its 4th Annual Birthday Bash on Friday, April 25, a high-energy celebration honoring another year of uplifting 2SLGBTQIA+ youth through mentorship, advocacy, and community connection.


This special evening will bring together 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies for an inspiring night of joy and generosity, featuring delicious food and drinks, a curated silent auction, and a dynamic program showcasing the impact of QUEERSPACE’s work.

As part of the celebration, local philanthropist John Sullivan will be honored with the 2025 Youth Champion Award for his outstanding support of 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and long-standing commitment to creating more inclusive communities.


QUEERSPACE collective is also proud to announce the inaugural Andrea Jenkins Legacy Award, which will be presented to Andrea Jenkins who is a trailblazing public leader and advocate for Trans rights. This award recognizes her unwavering commitment to equity, visibility, and transformational change for the Trans community in Minnesota and beyond.


“We’re incredibly proud to recognize both John Sullivan and Andrea Jenkins—two extraordinary changemakers whose advocacy and generosity have made a profound difference in the lives of LGBTQIA+ youth,” said Nicki Hangsleben, Executive Director and Founder of QUEERSPACE collective.
