Being Queer, Trans, or questioning can feel isolating, especially if you can't talk about your experience with someone who understands. You don’t have to figure it out alone. Every 2SLGBTQIA+ youth deserves to know they matter and belong.
Our 1:1 Mentorship Program pairs a 2SLGBTQIA+ youth ages 13-24 with a 2SLGBTQIA+ adult ages 25+ based on shared interests, lived experiences, and youth choice. Together, they spend time bonding, setting goals, and building pride in their identities.

VIRTUAL 1:1 MENTORSHIP
Location: Anywhere in the U.S.
Outside the Twin Cities? Try the QS Mentoring App! Our virtual mentorship platform is available nationwide that safely connects youth ages 13-24 with vetted, affirming mentors ages 25+.
Through a staff-supported chat experience, youth can text a 2SLGBTQIA+ adult mentor who will listen, answer questions, share their experiences, and offer support. Youth are in control — they choose their mentors and approve the match before chatting.
Youth Requirements:

IN-PERSON 1:1 MENTORSHIP
Location: Twin Cities, Minnesota
Our in-person 1:1 Mentorship Program pairs a 2SLGBTQIA+ youth with a 2SLGBTQIA+ adult (age 25+) in the Twin Cities metro based on youth choice and shared interests and lived experiences.
Once matched, mentors and mentees independently meet 2-3 times per month for a year to hang out, set and accomplish goals, and build resilience through affirming engagement. Once a month, we invite all pairs together for a large group hangout to build a larger community of connection and support.

Have caregiver permission to enroll
Applications must be completed by the youth's caregiver or through a third party referral.

Yes! If 1:1 mentorship isn't the right fit, we provide group programming through Youth Workshops, St. Cloud Hangouts, our drop-in QS Youth Center in Minneapolis, and community events. Visit our Youth Programs page for an overview of everything we offer.
