LaReesa Hooper

LaReesa (she/her/hers) has a long history of community mental health work. As a marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and drug and alcohol counselor (LADC), she has worked with various community organizations including FamilyWise, Saint Paul Public Schools, Northpoint Health and Wellness, The Family Partnership, and Minnesota Community Care. She now owns and operates a private therapy practice located in Saint Paul, serving a wide variety of clients including many youths and their families. Her practice, Therapeace Counseling, LLC currently is made up of five licensed mental health clinicians of color, with the aim to create greater access to mental health providers of color in the twin cities. 

 

LaReesa holds a bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University as well as a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Adler Graduate school, where she continued working in the field and later received her certificate in co-occurring disorders before obtaining her LADC.

 

During her downtime, LaReesa enjoys traveling with her family to new places, spending time with her dog Ninja, and reading.
