Program Director

Anne Sutkowi-Hemstreet

Anne (she/they) has lived all over the US in Michigan, California, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and now lives in Minnesota with their wife and two children! Anne has 23 years of program and curriculum development, coordination and management; program capacity building, and research and evaluation experience. Prior to starting at QUEERSPACE Collective, they founded Rainbow Collective for Change in North Carolina, a grassroots organization that provides LGBTQIA+ families and gender diverse youth with meaningful opportunities to connect with each other and engage in advocacy and activism as a collective.

Anne earned her Bachelor's degree from West Chester University in Psychology and a Master's of Public Health from University of California, Los Angeles.  

​

Anne's passion for LGBTQIA+ and gender inclusion work is fueled by her two children, the children of her close friends, and her personal experience as a queer parent navigating a culture and systems that are not LGBTQIA+ and gender inclusive.
