James Lewis

James (he/him/his) was raised in South Minneapolis. He earned a BA in Sociology from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. He has worked in the non-profit social service industry in Minneapolis for 21 years. Over that time, he has worked with multiple populations. James has worked with runaway and youth experiencing homelessness through crisis centers. He has worked with families experiencing homelessness in subsidized housing programs and single adults experiencing homelessness in the shelter system. James has held positions as Youth Counselor, Case Manager, Program Manager, and currently serves as Housing and Services Division Director for the Link in North Minneapolis.

 

James’ passion is about system change, program creation, and improvement. He is also very invested in working with young people in crisis and truly meeting them where they are at, helping them to unlock their potential for growth, learning, and stability in their lives.
